The Committee on Ministry approved presenting ruling elder Peggy Fox to be commissioned as a Commissioned Pastor at the Woodville Church, Richmond. The commissioning will take place during the COM report at the called presbytery meeting on November 21. Review the supplemental report containing information about Peggy.

There are a variety of ways Cindy can interact with your church: by preaching on Sunday via Zoom, through giving a minute for mission during your worship, or via meeting with sessions or mission committees. Disaster Relief Projects Continue at Camp Hanover

Disaster Relief Ministry continues valuable service to Camp Hanover with two more work days on November 18 and 19. Coordinator Brown Pearson is particularly in need of volunteers with tractors and ATVs that can haul trees. He also requests volunteers bring chainsaws, rope, and chain. Deadline Approaches for Boy Scouts Bankruptcy Claims

Insurance Board has a factsheet regarding claims against the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), which is filing for bankruptcy. The deadline for claims is November 16 at 5 p.m. While Insurance Board recommends ministries consult legal counsel for guidance, they note that organizations who are owed debt by BSA or who might be included in a complaint can file a contingent General Proof of Claim to protect their rights.

Older Adults Network Seeks Articles

Presbyterian Older Adult Ministries Network seeks articles for its 2021 planning guide. Submit a story from your congregation to help others implement programs for older adults. In particular, the network seeks submissions that emphasize multicultural outreach and intergenerational engagement. The deadline for submissions is December 15. Email your 500- to 2,000-word article and a short bio to Ginny Nyhuis.
