September 2022 Newsletter
BCDI-Atlanta is excited to announce we’ve been funded by NBCDI to implement three of its signature programs with our Powerful Families partners - Read to Succeed, Good For Me! and Family Empowerment Program (FEP)

Welcome Our New Intern
BCDI-Atlanta welcomes our new intern, Monique Jones, who is pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Family Science at Wilmington University.

Our 2022 - 2023 Lifted Voices Fellowship application is open through September 30.

Dr. LaTarsha Holden graduated from BCDI-Atlanta’s Inaugural Lifted Voices Fellowship in 2021, during which she founded Four Seasons Single Parent Program, Inc - a 90-day emergency shelter program with supporting resources. We are so proud of Dr. Holden for lifting her voice beyond the fellowship and fulfilling her passion to support healthy Black children and families.

Sponsorship & Ad Opportunities
BCDI-Atlanta will publish the second edition of its peer-reviewed journal, Nurture, this Fall. Nurture champions topics important to Black children ages 0-8 and their families.

Thank you to BCDI-Atlanta Historian Debbie Hillman for presenting this information at our spring Affiliate Meeting and to the distinguished ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for their devoted partnership.
