COVID-19 Update: 3-18-21

Bishop Chatard school leaders are pleased to report that no new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported this week. Furthermore, we have not needed to call for any students or staff members to close-contact quarantine.

As we head into Spring Break, please help us to maintain this momentum. If you have reason to believe that your student(s) may have been exposed to COVID-19 during the break, we ask that you get a negative test before returning to school. Families may choose to do a ten-day quarantine after Spring Break and return to full, in-person instruction on Monday, April 12. While this quarantine period is not mandatory, please respect our efforts to keep the academic environment successful and consider the health and safety of others.

Negative tests or requests to quarantine after Spring Break should be sent to medical@bishopchatard.org and you will be contacted by a member of our COVID-19 committee in order for them to gather information pertaining to your request. Please include the following in your email:
  1. Name of student
  2. Parent/guardian name and contact phone number
  3. Describe the symptoms they are experiencing

Please do not take advantage of this suggestion by extending Spring Break. If you have questions, please contact Principal Joe Hansen at jhansen@bishopchatard.org. We wish all Bishop Chatard families a safe and restful Spring Break.
