The Boston University Clinical and Translational Science Institute
(BU CTSI) has received a five-year, $38.3 million grant renewal from the Clinical and Translational Science Award Program.The BU CTSI was established in 2008 and is one of more than 50 institutions comprising the national CTSA Consortium led by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences , part of the NIH. We provide tools, services, and resources to clinical investigators to maximize the impact of discoveries and speed the translation of research into improved patient care through collaborative approaches.

Through the Leo Foundation program, grants are awarded in support of research projects with potential to improve the understanding of the underlying medicinal, biological, chemical, or pharmacological mechanisms of dermatological diseases and their symptoms, and address clinical issues among people who are at risk of developing, or have developed, a skin disease, including how it impacts their quality of life and the societal costs involved.

The QuickFire challenge grants innovators up to $200,000 in support of ideas aimed at improving pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care for women, making birth safer in the United States and potentially changing the trajectory of health for a lifetime. In addition, awardees will receive access to the global JLABS network and mentorship from experts at the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.
