Hello MTC families and staff,

Fatigue and weariness are creeping into our lives like our April showers. The longer this new “normal” goes on, the less normal anything feels. Isolation is not part of our nature and I feel that it is taking its toll on our families and our community as a whole. I encourage you to practice “self-care” this weekend if you can. The airlines always tell us to put on our oxygen mask first before assisting a child. We need to be strong if we are going to help each other through.

My hope is that we can work through the natural process of fatigue and anxiety to reach a place of peace and grace. “Nothing is easy at this time” is the understatement of the year. I feel as though God is having to carry many of us right now, and when we look back, we will only see one set of “Footprints” in the sand, His.

Please take a moment to read the attached letter from the Superintendent and take the survey from the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops.

May peace and grace abound in our hearts and in our world.

Yours in Christ,
Teresa Caraker
Principal

Virtual School Attendance
It is extremely important for parents to be submitting daily attendance for their Child(ren) via the attendance link located on our website’s Virtual Learning tab. The link can also be found on your child’s grade level Educator Page. Daily attendance reporting is mandated by the Florida Department of Education and the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Please make a note to do this first thing each school day. Faculty and staff will be calling those who do not submit daily attendance by 2 p.m. Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.

Our parishes would like to provide you with the following information to help you during this time.

Internet and Cell Phones

The internet has drastically changed the way children interact with the world. The use of cell phones among tweens and teenagers has jumped considerably. Technology is not without risks and parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s devices.
