Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don't count on harvesting golden delicious apples.

Something to celebrate. The city recently announced the return of the Gresham Arts Festival scheduled for July.  Whatever the COVID guidelines are at that date, as we have already demonstrated, Gresham will adhere to them and make the festival a success.
Check the City of Gresham website for more information. Check out the Lilac Run info at the same time.

Love Local and Happy Coloring
“Do you know someone in the community who spreads love and kindness or needs love and kindness shown to them?” In our recent Love Project launch we received nominations that lifted up some of the brightest givers in our community.

Choosing to purchase fifteen, $100 gift certificates from local restaurants helped to spread the love too. In an effort to be thoughtful we visited Troutdale and Fairview in addition to Main Street Gresham.

Tips, Tools, & Press Releases
How long do most vehicle batteries last?
Batteries are usually rated for 5 to 7 years on most vehicles. It is smart to have your battery tested at least once a year to make sure that it is holding a full charge and has the needed amount of cold cranking amps for your vehicle. If the battery starts to decline your alternator will work double time trying to get it up to a full charge, and it can shorten the life of the alternator. It is much less expensive to replace the battery regularly than replacing an alternator prematurely.
A few tips for right after a fire in your home:
  • If electricity is off, empty freezer and refrigerator and prop doors open.
  • Clean and protect chrome with light coating of petroleum jelly or oil.
  • Wash houseplants on both sides of leaves.
At 5.7 million gallons, Epcot’s Aquarium of the Seas in Disney World is second only to the Georgia Aquarium in terms of sheer size.
Both generic prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs are just as safe and effective as brand names. Choose the generic option and you could spend 80 to 85% less than on the brand-name counterpart.

Travel Oregon
A Highway of Waterfalls

One couple’s camper-van getaway on the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway.

Sometimes life flies by so fast that you hardly have a spare moment to pause and take in your surroundings. That was the case this past summer. So as the temperatures cooled, my photographer partner, Justin, and I planned a road trip in our camper van to reconnect with each other and the state we call home.
Where to go? Our only rules: few crowds and lots of waterfalls.
