Reopening houses of worship amidst the ongoing Pandemic poses unique challenges. In many cases, religious campuses house not only sacred space for worship, but also administrative offices, educational buildings and community centers that host feeding, senior, youth and cultural programs. Maintaining such facilities and staff in good times has been a struggle for San Francisco's communities of faith. Exacerbated by the Pandemic, the economic impact for some, if not many, has been devastating. This week's "Online Briefing for Faith Leaders," hosted by the San Francisco Interfaith Council and supported by the COVID Command Center's Joint Information Center Virtual Outreach Team," welcomes  San Francisco District Office U.S. Small Business Administration District Director Julie Clowes, who will present on programs and grants that benefit houses of worship/religious institutions facing the financial burdens of COVID mitigation. Her presentation will focus on important federal resources available to communities of faith to support their financial, operational and programmatic needs as they prepare to reopen their facilities.
