Almost Completed

Flowers & Tables & Chairs, Oh my!
Phase 1 nearing final completion – thank you, donors
The final touches are being put on the new streetscape improvements in the heart of Magnolia Village. With flowering baskets in full bloom, new bistro tables, chairs, sporty umbrellas, and the refurbished benches, shoppers and visitors alike are enjoying the sidewalks on McGraw street between 32nd and 33rd Avenues in a whole new way!
Phase 1 of the Reimagine Magnolia project
is almost completed. The comfortable bistro chairs are now anchored safely to the new bistro tables and some of the benches will be repositioned in the days ahead. Snappy red umbrellas will be installed on several tables very soon. We are loving how neighbors and friends are already enjoying the new streetscape while our Village is steadily re-opening after the last two months of closures due to the COVID-19 response. Thank you,
donors
. Your investment is paying dividends in ways we could not imagine when we started our project over two years ago. Without your generosity and support, Phase 1 could not have been completed. Without you, we could not be enjoying the beautiful flower baskets and new ways to engage outside. The completion of the project is coinciding with the rebounding and recovering of our merchants and businesses, which adds to the feeling of Spring in a novel and unique way. We deeply appreciate your partnership and working side-by-side with the Magnolia Beautification Committee to make our Village a great place to do business and spend quality time.
We had planned to do a BIG neighborhood celebration on June 6th. However, due to ongoing concerns of large gatherings during this challenging time of a global pandemic, we will be rescheduling the event when we can thank our donors with the celebration they deserve. Please stay tuned. In the meantime, we encourage mini celebrations of your own making. Don your mask, shop local and get that favorite beverage or take-out, and enjoy our outside tables, chairs and benches. Great way to relax and safely take in our new, attractive neighborhood scene!

Phase II & III – the Reimagining of Magnolia Continues Because of YOU
Momentum is growing and work is already underway to expand the beautiful streetscape improvements on McGraw Street from 33rd to 34th Avenues. We make donating for Phases Ii & III easy:
.
We anticipate that the costs will be approximately $190,000 for expanding the new tables and umbrellas, chairs, refurbished benches, poles, and flowering baskets. The project’s architect is busily working on plans for the new city of Seattle permit. And, our fiscal team is readying the application for another city of Seattle Department of Neighborhood grant, similar to the one we already received for Phase I. We will be posting the renderings specific to the next two phases on our
website
soon.
We are excited to work with you, our donors, to keep the project moving along and staying on time and on budget. If you have already donated to Phase I, please join us again and support Phase II and III. If you are liking what you see in the Village and haven’t donated yet, please join us. Be a part of a team that is making Magnolia Village a great place to be!

Introducing Mr. Sprinkles – our kind of guy
The Reimagine Magnolia project is very lucky to have an intrepid caretaker who is in charge of keeping the hanging flower baskets blooming … and blooming … AND blooming for your enjoyment.
Meet Mr. Sprinkles. It is our loving name for Jason Thibeaux, who is a top notch professional, effective community leader, and our Magnolia Chamber of Commerce executive director.
You may run into him as he waters the flowers every morning or as he is visiting local merchants and businesses in his role as the leader of the Chamber. Say hello and give him a big thank you for his dedication to Magnolia. He is an accomplished collaborator, connector, coordinator, cheerleader and now, our Mr. Sprinkles.
Thank you, Jason – we could not do this without your dedication and commitment to Magnolia.
