Irene Aldridge
Managing Director, Research, AbleMarkets

Irene Aldridge is Managing Director, Research, of AbleMarkets, a Big Data for Capital Markets company. She is also Adjunct Professor at Cornell University. Prior to AbleMarkets, Aldridge designed and ran high-frequency trading strategies in a $20-million cross-asset portfolio. Still previously, Aldridge was, in reverse order, a quant on a trading floor; in charge of risk quantification of commercial loans; Basel regulation team lead; technology equities researcher; lead systems architect on large integration projects, including web security and trading floor globalization. Aldridge started her career as software engineer in financial services. Aldridge holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union, and MS in Financial Engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA from INSEAD. In addition, Aldridge studied in two PhD programs: Operations Research at Columbia University (ABD) and FInance (ABD). Aldridge is the author of multiple academic papers and several books. Most notable titles include “Big Data Science in Finance” (co-authored with Marco Avellaneda, Wiley, 2020), “Real-Time Risk: What Investors Should Know About Fintech, High-Frequency Trading, Flash Crashes” (co-authored with Steve Krawciw, Wiley, 2017), and “High-Frequency Trading: A Practical Guide to Algorithmic Strategies and Trading Systems” (2nd edition, translated into Chinese, Wiley 2013). Her recent academic publications include “Neural Networks in Finance: Design and Performance” (with Marco Avellaneda in the Journal of Financial Data Science, 2019), “Big Data in Portfolio Management” (Journal of Financial Data Science, 2019), “ETFs, High-Frequency Trading and Flash Crashes” (Journal of Portfolio Management, 2016), and “High-Frequency Runs and Flash Crash Predictability” (Journal of Portfolio Management, 2014). Aldridge presently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Applied Data Science to Finance.

Rachel Carpenter
CEO, Intrinio

Rachel is the Chief Executive Officer and a founding partner of Intrinio, a disruptive financial data platform launched in 2016. Based in the company’s Florida office, Rachel has overall responsibility for Intrinio including driving its strategy and position for long term growth. Intrinio’s mission is to use data to power a new generation of innovation in financial services, focusing on reinventing the financial data supply chain. Prior to founding Intrinio, Rachel became a self-taught web developer and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in both Finance and Management. She is a member of the Forbes Finance Council, Forbes 30 Under 30, and XBRL US (eXtensible Business Reporting Language. Rachel sits on the board of CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse), the largest domestic violence shelter in Florida, and is an appointed member of the State of Florida Government Efficiency Task Force.

Elizabeth Pritchard
Founder and CEO, White Rock Data Solutions

Elizabeth is a data-driven, C-Suite executive and trusted business advisor with over twenty-five years of experience innovating in finance. At White Rock Data Solutions, she works closely with her clients to activate their data through product and business development, go-to-market and intrapraneuring strategies. Elizabeth is passionate about fostering the adoption of new data sources and tools to drive improvement in investment and risk discovery processes. Her executive roles include: Managing Director, Goldman Sachs where she worked for twenty years; followed by two years each at AIG as Global Chief Operating Officer, Science, and as Co-Founder, Crux Informatics. Elizabeth is currently advising the Alternative Data Council of Financial Information Systems Division(FISD) of the SIIA on rolling out Industry-Wide Alternative Data Standards. And she is a member of the Board of Directors of Eagle Alpha. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Columbia University.

Anu Murgai
Founder and CEO, Macrotechnomics LLC

Anu Murgai is Founder and CEO of Macrotechnomics LLC which provides advice on data, process and quant tools within the fundamental macro investing ecosystem. She ran her own macro hedge fund from 2007-2012 and worked at several well-known hedge funds such as Tiger Management, Shumway Capital Partners and Alphadyne Asset Management. She worked at Crux Informatics, a leader in data ingestion for financial services in a variety of roles from go-to-market to data engineering to supplier management. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A (High Honors) from Swarthmore College.
