District Superintendent LOVE OFFERING:

As is our custom and practice we collect an annual love offering for our District Superintendent at our District Assembly as a way to express our appreciation and gratitude. It is a tangible way to thank him for all the sacrifice and service in making our local churches flourish and thrive. This year due to COVID restrictions and the format of the assembly we had to adapt and provide this opportunity through our online giving. Please use the link below to send any gift and contribution you wish to make to this offering.

Checks can also be mailed to the Metro NY District,
(please make checks out to Rev. Dr. Samuel Vassel)

International Prayer Ministry International (IPMI)

SAT. MAY 15, 2021

The Annual Pastors' and Leaders' Prayer Symposium is designed to be a source of practical and spiritual support to pastors and ministry leaders, their ministries, and congregations. Many of these churches struggle with prayer. These pastors, however, desire to see their churches grow in making a solid spiritual impact in their local communities.

At this Symposium, pastors and ministry leaders get an opportunity to dialogue with an experienced and competent church person about things that will facilitate and strengthen their ability to lead the church. The Symposium is expected to be a mutual learning opportunity in which colleagues will share insight, and pastors will feel as if the process enriches them. It is our conviction in IPMI that as we strengthen one another, we present the united invincible front that will tear down the strongholds of the enemy.

The Purpose of the May 15, 2021, Symposium:
  • To challenge participants to action through prayer towards spiritual renewal in the church for community transformation.
  • To introduce the book, Your Kingdom Come: The Reign of Christ's Kingdom in the Earth as an essential resource to accomplish this vital mission.
Speakers:
Rev. Dr. Samuel Vassel | District Superintendent | Metro NY Church of the Nazarene
Rev. Dr. Mac Pier | CEO and Founder of MOVEMENT.ORG | New York City

In partnership with clergy from our district who relocated to their native homeland of St. Vincent as well as other close connections we have to St. Vincent & the Grenadines, the Metro NY district through Compassion, Justice & Immigration and our NMI ministries have mobilized relief efforts. Through our close relationships with St. Vincent we are partnering with the Priscilla James Foundation and others who are leading in serving those displaced by the Volcano. There is a great need for emergency supplies. We are collecting items that are in need and will be shipping the supplies to St. Vincent by the end of the month.

We have identified, two drop-off locations on our district,
  • Freeport Church of the NazareneFreeport Long Island
  • Beulah Church of the Nazarene, Brooklyn, NY.

For individuals unable to bring supplies to the drop-off locations, items may be purchased online through your vendor of choice and shipped to Freeport Church of the Nazarene, Freeport, Long Island.

Please see the promo flyer for a list of needed items, church addresses, and times of operation to facilitate your giving.

We have also created an online means of giving financial contributions through the Metro NY district (Please note financial contribution “St. Vincent Volcano Relief”). All funds received will be given to the relief efforts.
