our prayer circle.

Some of the tasks on tap include:
Installing a Bible shelf in the Sanctuary. We will use power tools on this one.
Moving a pew such that the Bible shelf is accessible.
Painting a 4x8 sheet of ply wood.
Installing the new plywood sheet under the eaves of Clardy Hall. Power tools will be used.
Cleaning/repainting the eaves of Clardy Hall.

Our faith begins at the point where atheists suppose it must be at an end. PRAYER REQUESTS & BOX
The Daughters of the King support your prayer needs and wishes. Each Sunday a prayer team will be available to pray with you after the Worship Service in the choir area after the 10:30 service. If you would like additional information, please see a DOK member.
They also have a intercessory prayer box on the table in the Narthex to deposit prayer requests. Prayer request cards may be found in the pews and beside the box in the Narthex. Daughters pray daily. All prayers are confidential. Each person is prayed for one month. If you wish for continued prayers, please complete another request card or contact a Daughter.
You may call the church office (903-455-5030) and specify it is for the DOK intercessory prayer list. You can hand the card to a Daughter (she is always wearing her cross).

Filling Stations are monthly Christian celebration meetings normally held in non-church venues such as village halls, cafes and community spaces throughout the United Kingdom.

Ministry to Migrant Children at Dallas Convention Center
“I didn’t expect to go over there and do something nice for these kids and end up being sad,” said the Rev. David Petrash after volunteering to offer his pastoral services to the refugee children from South and Central America. “The best thing we can do for them is pray over them.”
Diocesan clergy answered the call to minister to the 1,500 refugee children staying temporarily at Kay Baily Hutchison Convention Center. Petrash, along with the Rev. Adriana Elliott, the Rev. Debra Vela and her daughter, Mariel Gutierrez, the Rev. Noe Mendez, and Juan Benitez from Gateway of Grace to minister to the children with prayer, a homily and music. The volunteers are working with Catholic Charities and had to get the required clearances before offering their help.
Vela said her efforts to speak Spanish brought levity to the situation and made them laugh after she told them they could teach her Spanish. And pretty much every time she spoke Spanish they giggled, she said.
