With the historic renaming of the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, we are required to change our logos and language on digital and print materials, signage, websites, social media, stationery, email signatures and promotional items, such as Patagonia jackets.

Call for Nominations: BUMC Emerging Leaders Program


This two-day intensive program explores the characteristics of effective leaders and introduces key leadership skills to help late assistant professors and early associate professors on the Medical Campus. Participants attend discussions on what it takes to emerge as a leader, and workshops to practice those skills and develop a network of peers.


Interested faculty should discuss their nominations with their department chair, division chief or an associate dean or center director.


Department chairs, division chiefs, associate deans or center directors should submit the nominee’s name, CV and no more than a one page description of their promise as a leader, their effectiveness, innovation, reliability, and capacity to energize and motivate others to [email protected] by COB Friday, Oct. 7.

Free Mental Health Screening for Students, Staff & Faculty

Date: Thursday, Oct. 6

Time: Noon-2 p.m.

Location: Talbot Green (Rain location: L Building)


Free, in-person mental health screening on the medical campus as part of National Depression Screening Day. Hosted by BU Student Health Services and Employee Wellness. Open to all BU students, staff, and faculty. 


This screening for depression and anxiety takes about two minutes to complete. After you complete it and get your results, you may choose to speak with someone who can empathetically listen and direct you to relevant resources at BU and beyond. No insurance is required to participate in the screening, and it is completely free of charge. No appointment is needed for a screening. 


You can also build a free self-care kit, with information and items to help relieve stress.
