Re-introducing library charges
From Sunday 1 August:

Summer Reading Challenge 2021
The Summer Reading Challenge has started and is now in full swing at your local library!

The theme is Wild World Heroes, a nature-themed reading challenge that will inspire you to stand up for the planet.

Watch the video below for more information on this year's Challenge.
Check out our wildlife themed events:
Crafty Critters
Join us at Maidenhead Library and make your very own animal using our craft materials.

Each Thursday we will make a different endangered animal: Sloth (22 July), Panda (29 July), Elephant (5 August), Bear (12 August), Rhino (19 August) and Monkey (26 August).

Our morning sessions have now sold out, but we have good availability for our 2.15pm sessions.

A ticket must be booked for every attending person, including children. Book your ticket on Eventbrite.
Teddy Bears' Picnic
Grab a rug, a packed lunch and your favourite cuddly toy for Dedworth Library's very own teddy bears' picnic!

This free storytime session will take place outside, but will be moved indoors in the event of bad weather.

This event is suitable for under 5s.

A ticket must be booked for every attending person, including children. Book your ticket on Eventbrite.
LEGO at Dedworth Library
Thanks to a generous donation by LEGOLAND Windsor, Dedworth Library is pleased to host a number of LEGO building sessions in the library this summer!

Let your imagination run wild and build your very own creations: from spaceships and stadiums, to monsters and metropolises - it's entirely up to you!

Please be aware that booking is essential for this event and under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.

Knit and Natter
Maidenhead Library’s Knit and Natter group are back!

Knit and Natter provides an opportunity to get together with like-minded people, have a good chat and do some knitting at the same time.

This friendly, informal group is open to absolutely anybody who has a passion for wool and knitting… whatever your ability!

The group meets every Wednesday at Maidenhead Library between 1.30pm-4pm, just drop in to join.
Photography Exhibition at Maidenhead Library
Maidenhead Library is pleased to host a powerful exhibition featuring the work of local creative, Stephen Martin.

'there, their and they're' is a deeply personal work which showcases the artist's history with dyslexia.

Having encountered numerous setbacks as a school student in the late 1980s, Stephen's exhibition asks the question: has anything changed to support children and parents living with this learning difference in 2021?

The exhibition will run to 25 July. It can be viewed during opening hours.
