We're Looking Ahead
This month, course registration opens for 2021-22 and everyone is excited about the possibilities. Curriculum innovation, faculty support, and student inspiration are at the heart of the BHS Innovation Fund, as embodied in the two courses spotlighted below. Visit our website for a full list of classes and school-wide initiatives that originated with grant funding, and learn more about how the we positively impact learning for all students at BHS. Look for our logo next to all the beloved classes that were launched by the Innovation Fund in the new BHS Course Catalog.
Faculty Interviews
Video by BHS student Sasha B. for the Brookline Lens class. Brookline Lens is a student-run business that provides photo and video production services to BHS and the community. Lens is currently in its second year of grant funding from the BHS Innovation Fund. This video explains the course in more detail. (5 mins)
Social Justice with Kate Leslie
Kate Leslie, who teaches Social Justice, updated the BHS Innovation Fund recently about the course. First launched over 15 years ago with a grant from the Fund, the Social Justice elective explores issues of equality and discrimination with regard to race and sexuality - and prepares students to become social justice activists.

Engineering by Design with Aubrey Love
Engineering by Design is a popular elective providing a student-centered, project-based curriculum that challenges students to interpret real-world engineering and design problems. Aubrey Love has been involved with this class, as well as Engineering Innovation & Design, and building the Engineering elective pathway, over the past 15 years.
