March 2021 NYS Incubator Report
BIANYS has helped organize a coalition of member incubators and START-UP NY companies to fight the COVID19 tax on START-UPs

START-UP NY has had a requirement that all employees enrolled in the program through a START-UP company must report physically to the company's designated offices. However last March the Governor issued an Executive Order requiring non-essential workers to remote work to slow the spread of COVID19. START-UP NY companies complied with the directive and now the NYS Department of Tax and Finance has determined these companies violated the provisions of the START-UP NY program! Our coalition has begun to write letters to the Governor, the State Senate and the State Assembly to ask them to rectify this injustice in the State Budget. Please join us by writing a letter to your State Assemblymember and Senator and ask them to stop the COVID19 TAX on STARTUPs.
