Faculty in the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences are facilitating creative and purposeful activities in the classroom that complement the theoretical content presented. We’re excited to share some of these learning opportunities with Buff Brief readers.

CHEM*4324:

Metabolic Pathway Videos

Dr. Nick Flynn, Professor of Biochemistry, serves as the instructor of CHEM*4324, Biochemistry II. In this class, students pair up with another student in the class to produce a video that covers a metabolic pathway. Students also participate in a peer review of three of these pathway videos. Students are specifically instructed on things to include in their video, but also have creative freedom in other areas. What a great way to develop technological and communication skills in support of analytical content!

The Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences is a proud supporter of student athletes and would like to invite you to support the Women's Volleyball team. Their next game is Wednesday, October 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock, TX against Lubbock Christian University. On Saturday, October 22, the team will play Eastern New Mexico University at 2:00 p.m. at "The Box" in Canyon,Tx. 

Celebration of Donors

The West Texas A&M University Foundation hosted the Celebration of Donors event to recognize university donors during the evening of Thursday, October 13. Students from every College were asked to attend and to bring an interactive event for donors. Agricultural Sciences brought boards for donors to brand, while Chemistry & Physics made homemade Dippin' Dots with liquid nitrogen!
