DuPage County is still accepting donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to assist in the COVID-19 response. To donate unused PPE, which must be in the original manufacturer’s packaging, visit  www.protectdupage.org  and complete the PPE Donations Offer Form. If you have questions about the donation process, please send an email to:  eoc.logistics@dupageco.org .

Mayor seeks candidates for Ward 1 & Ward 4 Alderman Seats

Mayor Morley is accepting applications to fill the City’s 1st ward and 4th ward vacant aldermanic seats. Aldermen Mark Sabatino (Ward 1) and Kevin York (Ward 4) recently resigned from their offices due to positive personal reasons.

Mayor Morley stated, “I want to thank Alderman York and Alderman Sabatino for their hard work over the years, their leadership and contributions will be greatly missed. We look forward to bringing them back for a proper send off.”

With the advice and consent of the Elmhurst City Council, Mayor Morley will appoint replacements to serve the 1st and 4th wards of Elmhurst until the April 2021 election.

To be considered for either one of these appointments, please complete an official application. Resumes and/or letters of intent are also encouraged to be included with the application. The American Public Works Association (APWA) announced its 2020 Top Ten Public Works Leaders of the Year which included City of Elmhurst Public Works Director, Howard Killian. 

The award is one of APWA’s highest honors, and is based on a lifetime of professional contributions. Recipients of the awards are chosen by past Top Ten recipients and embody professionalism, expertise, and personal dedication to improving the quality of life in their communities through the advancement of public works services and technology.
