New Board Member, Kevin Wang
In case you missed it, Governor J. Inslee has appointed Kevin Wang, former educator and Microsoft engineer to the Washington State Board of Education.

Educator, engineer, and social entrepreneur, Kevin Wang of Bellevue was appointed to the State Board of Education and sworn-in during a virtual Board Meeting on May 13. Wang has dedicated his life to STEM education access, and equity.

Save the Dates: June Work Session, July Meeting
The State Board of Education is planning a Work Session that will be accessible by the public on June 17 tentatively from 1-5 p.m. More information about the agenda and topics for discussion will be shared in the coming week.

The Board also plans to have it's regularly scheduled Board meeting July 8 and 9 via Zoom. Find the latest meeting materials on SBE's meetings page: sbe.wa.gov/meetings .
