Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for any Officer or Liaison position, candidates must be the delegate designated by a Voting Member in good standing to represent that member in the Association. In addition, candidates must be willing and able to do the following:

  • Be fully available for Board work during their term, including availability and willingness to attend all Quarterly Board meetings each year of the two-year term (three years for AMERIND Liaison and Alternate);

  • Be available and accessible for periodic Board conference calls and virtual meetings during the term of office, and other business related to NWIHA governance. Board meetings are held during standard work hours; and

  • Agree to abide by NWIHA Policies and Bylaws related to responsibilities of the Board member. (It should be noted that the Bylaws allows the delegation of many of the administrative duties to the Executive Director.)

Nomination and Election Process

You can make a nomination for either yourself or a qualified colleague by sending an email to NWIHA at info@NWIHA.org. Your email should include the following:

  • The position (Officer or Liaison) for whom the nomination is being placed
  • The name of the person being nominated
  • The Voting Member affiliation of the nominee - a list of Voting Members can be found here: Voting Members.  Please let us know if any of the information on this list is incorrect.

Deadline: A final Call for Nominations will be made at approximately 10:00 AM at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, to be immediately followed by the Election. Both in-person and virtual attendees of the meeting will have the opportunity to vote, with one vote allowed per Voting Member. Officers and Liaisons will assume their roles immediately following the tabulation of the votes.

We hope that you will seriously consider serving the NWIHA and your peers by submitting a nomination, either for yourself or a colleague. The NWIHA can only continue to be relevant through the active participation by you, the NWIHA members. The time commitments are minimal, but the potential for helping guide our organization in the future is unlimited.

Thank You!
