Music Ministry - join in!

Join us in sharing beautiful music to the glory of God. Join our choir or handbell choir this season. Expertise is not required. Open to most all ages.

Rehearsals:

-Choir - Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 PM

-Handbells - Sundays from 4-5:15 PM

Avondale Adventures - is soon!

The next Adventure begins Wed, Oct 5 ! Details and registration will be available soon. This Adventure runs through Dec 7 and the children's Christmas performance will be Sun, Dec 11. Volunteers are especially needed to help with the food, dinner and children at 5 PM.

PWA Bible Study - Sept 13

Save the date to join other women at Avondale for a time of study and fellowship. The next Bible study topic will be selected when the group resumes meeting on Tuesday, September 13 at 1 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Gatherings following this will be on the 1st Tuesday at 1 PM.

Avondale Youth Group

Worship - Youth Group had a great kick-off on Sunday, August 28. We are grateful to the youth and leaders for sharing summer experiences with us in worship.

Kick-Off - For the Youth Group festivities following worship, they reported that we "had a lot of new faces and can already tell we are off to a great year!"

Sunday Night Meetings - We are looking forward to our first regular Sunday Night Meeting this Sunday, Sept 11. 

Youth Opportunities - We also have two great opportunities to join in our Music Ministry at Avondale. 

- The Handbell choir will be rehearsing on Sundays 4 - 5:15 PM. Join in with Shea! There is a long history of youth joining this choir.

-Also, we want to check-in to see if any youth are interested in being in a youth choir....yes? We will discuss this as a group on Sunday.

ASAP Meetings- last and next

WOW, ASAP MEMBERS! Our August mission to collect school supplies for Sedgefield MS was a HUGE success.

The students and teachers of Sedgefield are so appreciative. Many, many thanks to all of you for bringing some bookbags along with the paper, pencils, markers, colored pencils, Kleenex and post-it-notes. 

Many thanks to Olivia Magee, Page Woods and Nell McRae for all the help they gave to get the supplies ready for the pick-up. We are so happy to participate in helping the teachers and students of Sedgefield Middle.

Our next meeting will be Sept 22 at noon in the Fellowship Hall. We will have a VERY special program. The StarClaire 5 (Mahlon, Dennis, and Jackie) will share their beautiful music with us. We are so excited!!
