The salad bar offers many vegetarian and gluten-free options. A protein is served every other week and alternates between steak and chicken .

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Last week we welcomed Curt LoGiudice, Executive Director and Curator of The Catty Shack Ranch. LoGiudice gave us an update on how he started with a 5 acre plot of land and how he has turned that into a now 240 acre facility that cares for almost 40 animals. He has done all of this without grants or federal funding. The animals are taken care of by professional caretakers, Medical staff and specialists in their respected fields. I highly recommend a visit especially during feeding times.

We are in the final quarter of the year which means we have a lot of great events coming up. We will finish this month with the Car Show and the Jaguars Tailgate, and don’t forget about the Meet-a-Member at Standard Feed on Nov 3 where all of the money will be donated to the Kid's Christmas Shopping Spree! Check the calendar and get signed up. This week we host Jay Stowe, CEO of JEA.

JAGS TAILGATE PARTY

Join us for our Annual Jaguars Tailgate Party on October 23 from 9am-1pm! The Jags will be taking on the NY Giants! Tickets are on sale and can be purchased on the website for $25 or at the weekly meetings. If you are interested in purchasing game tickets they are an additional $65 and can also be purchased on the website.

MEET A MEMBER

Join us for a Meet A Member at Standard Feed & Seed, hosted by owner Frank Wallmeyer on November 3 from 5pm until 7:30pm. The cost is only $10 per person and ALL of the money will be donated to the Kid's Christmas Shopping Spree! There will also be a Chicken Poop Bingo game for a small fee where half of the proceeds go to the winner and half to the shopping spree. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this great cause!

We are now looking for volunteers to work on our annual Veteran's Day Float for the Downtown Parade. Also, if you are a Veteran and are interested in riding on the float, there are spots available!

CHRISTMAS KIDS SHOPPING SPREE

Please join us for our annual Christmas Kids Shopping spree providing gifts for children who may not have a home for Santa to visit. This great event is one of our most heartwarming all year where we take approximately 30 kids Christmas Shopping with $150 to spend on each. Target brings us in prior to opening to secure the building and present a safe environment where SBMC Members help brighten their holiday.

Please help us make this holiday special and sponsor a child or two for $150 each.

We will meet on December 3 at 6am at the Target on San Jose and will need volunteers to help the kids with their shopping!
