Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Infection Control Policy
For House of Colour Ampthill/Flitwick/N.Luton
Please read before your appointment
Cases of COVID-19 are still prevalent and as we ease out of physical distancing measures and restrictions are officially lifted, I would like to reassure you that I am continuing to prioritise your safety, my own and that of my family, at all times.

I shall continue to make your studio-based session as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible, based on your individual situation and needs.

Booking Appointments

If I, or any member of my household feel ill or display symptoms of COVlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not open the studio. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice, which is in the interests of your own safety. If your appointment is postponed you will be able to re-book at no additional cost to you.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19, please advise me as soon as possible and do not come to the studio for your appointment. You will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness or isolation.

Visiting the Studio

I am continuing with the increased frequency of cleaning in my studio including making sure that common surfaces, toilets, door handles, gate latches, etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products before and after each client session.

All tools and equipment are disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety. I have been fully trained in COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control, which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for the industry. Wherever possible I utilise environmentally friendly, single use items to apply make-up and these are disposed of safely after use.

Laundering of towels, capes and gowns is a priority and takes place after every client leaves. All towels are washed at 60˚C.

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the studio as soon as a client leaves.

Colour Analysis

It is important to note that if you are wearing a face covering, this will need to be removed whilst your colour analysis is undertaken. If you are not comfortable with this you should postpone your session as colour analysis cannot be performed accurately whilst you are wearing a mask. I shall wear a face covering whilst performing your colour analysis.

If you have any concerns about your studio-based session please let me know and I will do what I can to accommodate you.
