You're Invited!

The EAI Teens & Twenties will be hosting an Information Session at 2:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 23, 2022. All are welcome to attend. One of our committee members will moderate a panel discussion hearing from current FA members who are in their teens and twenties along with members who joined FA at a young age and have continued to successfully work the FA program for decades. We will also hear from family members of young members and have time for Q&A.

Whether you are a young person yourself interested in connecting with others your age, have a friend or family member who could benefit from this program and are not sure how you can support them, or just want to learn more about the Teens & Twenties Committee, we offer this opportunity for all to join.  For questions or more information, please contact eaiteensandtwenties@foodaddicts.org.

Service Positions and Meeting Effectiveness

Our November 6th MESA Resource Call will be the first in a series on FA service positions and their impact on meeting effectiveness. This time we will focus on Speaker Seekers—highlighted in Gratitude in Action, winter 2018—and World Service Conference Members—highlighted in Gratitude in Action, 4th edition, 2019. We encourage you to review these highlights by searching for “Gratitude in Action” on the FA website.

Bring your experience, suggestions, and questions regarding Speaker Seekers and World Service Conference Members. All FA members are welcome.

Courage to Change

The TOR eForum is an opportunity for all FA members who have felt unwelcome in this fellowship to share their painful experiences, their strength, and the hope of recovery that sustained them. These disclosures may reveal ways in which we can all become more welcoming.

This eForum is offered in the spirit that we do not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.

Honoring the difficult memories of our members will help us become more open to each other. We hope that creating this safe space will support members who currently feel marginalized.

“Could any then imagine a society which would include every conceivable kind of character, and cut across every barrier of race, creed, politics, and language with ease?”  ~ Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, fifty-forth printing 2014, page 141.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

WSI Service Group Support Committee

The WSI Service Group Support Committee Global Virtual Meeting will not be held on November 20, 2022.

Instead, we encourage members to attend the EAI Service Support Weekend (SSW 2022), November 12-13, 2022.

SSW is a great place to be inspired and get ideas for ways your service group can continue to work together to raise awareness about FA recovery in your communities and the digital world.
