HIVMA and the IDSA Foundation are accepting applications for the 2023-24 HIV Clinical Fellowship. The program supports physicians who are not trained in infectious diseases to pursue one year of HIV clinical training under the mentorship of an HIVMA member at clinical sites serving medically underserved populations. The application will close Dec. 12.

Legislative Update


Dear Colleagues,


The National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) and other Hispanic organizations are

sending a letter to the USDA expressing support of WIC grains in cereals policies to

decrease obesity and diabetes.


NHMA submitted Office of Civil Rights Comments to strengthen Section 1557 of the

Affordable Care Act with data on race, ethnicity, language, and gender identity, as well as

supporting telehealth services with digital and audio technology.


NHMA participated in the recent White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, And Health to support increased education and programs to improve the health of our communities.
