The NCHA student health survey launches Thursday, October 6!

"Graduate Students: We Want To Hear From You" with a photo of a group of graduate students

The National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is Brandeis' primary source of student health data. The survey is anonymous and takes about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Be Counted - Help ensure that our survey results accurately represent the diversity of the Brandeis student body.

Shape the Future - Survey data is used to inform the direction of health and wellness services at Brandeis.

All students who complete the survey will be entered to win one of eight prizes: a Toshiba TV, Nintendo Switch Lite, Airpods Pro, Wonderboom speaker, Eno hammock, Herschel duffle bag, color-sync LED strip lights, and a Verilux therapy lamp.

Check your Brandeis email on October 6th for your unique link.

The survey closes October 27th. If you have questions about the survey please contact leahb@brandeis.edu

Navigating Graduate School

Peer Connect Mentors

The Graduate Peer Connect Mentors are a group of Brandeis graduate students working to make life on campus easier to navigate. Each graduate school has two to six peer mentors who are ready to answer all of your questions. They offer workshops and also hold office-hours for you to ask questions, voice your concerns or just come hang out!

Workshop Series

Navigating Graduate School workshops are designed to help students adjust to the rigors of graduate school, offering tips, strategies and advice from both staff experts and Peer Connect Mentors who are advanced graduate students. These workshops are interactive and provide a space for you to meet others who have similar interests, ask questions, and get answers and perspectives that may help you fine tune your own experience as a graduate student.

Upcoming workshops are listed below.

Have a Safe and Spooky Halloween!

This year, avoid being haunted by risky decisions. Remember that you don't need booooze to have a good time. If you decide to consume any potions, remember these tips to avoid getting poisoned - that would really kill the mood.

If you choose to drink alcohol on Halloween:

  • Choose a costume that makes you feel confident and comfortable
  • Eat a full meal before drinking
  • Set a limit and count your drinks
  • Do not leave your drink unattended
  • Intervene (direct, distract, distance, delegate, document) if something isn't right or someone is in danger
  • Stay with your friends and look out for each other
  • Plan a safe ride home
