Sunday afternoon I sat down in the family room, picked up the remote and began to channel surf. It's what I do. I can't remember the last time we had anything resembling a TV Guide. I never have any idea what's on. When I do take a moment to sit down, I just take my chances...
Have you always had a desire to visit the Holy Land? Do you want to walk in the places where Jesus led? Would you like to travel to Bethlehem, Jerusalem, the Jordan River, and Galilee? As we move into virtual worship and other gatherings for the foreseeable future, now is a great time to connect with online giving to ensure that the ministries and outreach of the church are not interrupted.
There are two basic ways to give electronically, and both are quick and simple.
The best option is to give via a direct transfer from your checking account. This is fee-free for you and the church. Simply fill out the accompanying ACH form and send it in to the church office along with a voided check. You can mail it to Aledo UMC, PO Box 126, Aledo, TX 76008.
Or you can text "aledoumc" to 77977. This will connect you to a service called PushPay, which will allow you to give electronically to the church using either a credit card or debit card. You will receive a text back with instructions guiding you through setting up your gift. You can give either a one-time gift or set up weekly or monthly giving through PushPay.
