Dear golf course owners and managers,
Following the news announced by Prime Minister François Legault at the end of the day yesterday concerning the wearing of masks outdoors, including on the golf course, the Standing Committee of the Québec golf industry is waiting for the official wording from the government.
The representations made to the Government were successful. The golf industry won its case concerning the wearing of masks on the course, providing that golfers maintain the 2-metre distancing at all times.
For the common areas (parking, practice areas, outside the clubhouse), we are waiting for clarification from the government.
The official wording will be sent to you as soon as possible.
The golf industry has been the focus of media and public attention in recent hours. It is therefore essential that we maintain a rigorous application of the government guidelines in effect. Let's be collectively responsible.
