Updates to Today's Announcement on Closure of Golf Effective 12:01 am Saturday, April 17
Further to the announcement by the Ontario Government, and our subsequent Ontario We Are Golf Bulletin, we have received the following updates:
Turf & Maintenance
As per confirmation received last Spring from the Ontario Government, your turf maintenance teams should be able to maintain their properties over the closure period. All work on the grounds that the outdoor staff are doing must be justified as essential property maintenance to preserve, protect and prevent damage to the property AND all precautionary measures MUST be in place during this critical time; including social distancing, hand washing, workspace cleaning, etc. It was noted that it is imperative to only have staff doing what is essential for the golf course property (for instance removal of tarps off greens, necessary turf cutting, etc.).

We are working to confirm that these details remain intact for the 2021 season throughout this closure period and will update accordingly.
Food & Beverage
As per the announcement today, all other public health and workplace safety measures for non-essential retail under the provincewide emergency brake (i.e., curbside pick-up and delivery only), will continue to apply.
Pro Shop
As per the announcement today, all other public health and workplace safety measures for non-essential retail under the provincewide emergency brake (i.e., curbside pick-up and delivery only), will continue to apply.
For now, and until this direction changes, you will need to close your facility to golfers according to the stay-at-home order.

Together, we will continue to push for the safe inclusion of golf courses and driving ranges as options that can be open in this stay-at-home order. We know how important this is to the well being of so many and we of course, will do so in a safe manner.

Sincerely,
