Fifth Sunday of Easter

This weekend we celebrate St. Joseph the Worker and begin the month traditionally dedicated to Our Lady. I would like to focus on these two figures, so important in the life of Jesus, the Church and in our lives.
We read in the Gospel of St Matthew, in one of the moments when Jesus returns to his town, to Nazareth, and speaks in the Synagogue, the amazement of his fellow townspeople at his wisdom is emphasized. They asked themselves the question: “Is not this the carpenter's son?” (13:55). Jesus comes into our history, he comes among us by being born of Mary by the power of God, but with the presence of St. Joseph, the legal father who cares for him and also teaches him his trade. Jesus is born and lives in a family, in the Holy Family, learning the carpenter’s craft from St. Joseph in his workshop in Nazareth, sharing with him the commitment, effort, satisfaction and also the difficulties of every day.
Let us remember to always invite the holy family into our homes. Let us always go to Joseph and remember his great example of contemplation and hard work. May the outstanding example of Mary’s motherhood guide us and caring for our children and our families.
I hope and pray this wonderful month will lead us into the joys of summer ahead!
Please remember to pray for me as I will pray for you.

National Nurses Week 2021
|
|
ATTENTION ALL NURSES, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, MEDICAL AND LAB TECHNICIANS, NURSING ASSISTANTS … The Parish Nurse Ministry of Saint Dominic Church, cordially invites you on Sunday, May 2 for a special Mass at 10:30 AM.
Since the pandemic, honoring our nation’s nurses and all medical personnel, is more profoundly significant, which makes this month of recognition in May even more important. Whether it is a national health emergency or routine daily care, nurses’ vital contributions impact the health and well-being of our communities. Annually, National Nurses Week begins on May 6 and ends on May 12, the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing as a modern profession.
Every year, National Nurses week focuses attention on the diverse ways America’s nurses work to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals. The American Nurses Assocation’s (ANA) National Nurses Week 2021 theme is “Nurses Make a Difference.” We welcome all healthcare professions and hope you can join us
|
|
We join World Health Organization (WHO) and global colleagues in extending the Year of the Nurse into 2021. This recognition builds on the increased visibility of nurses’ contributions from 2020 and American Nursing Association's (ANA) expansion of National Nurses Week to Nurses Month in May.

Faith At Home offers resources to families of all stages to prepare for the liturgy and grow in their faith. It is compiled by the Diocese of Trenton to enhance the lives of the faithful as we continue to celebrate the Easter Season and beyond… Take time to add prayer, quiet time to reflect, and make time for activities that focus on our faith. "Faith at Home" is an important tool to refer to as we go through the month of May.

We are keeping up with technology! Our parish provides Online Giving as an electronic tool for contributions so you can give via the ‘web’. Online Giving helps you maintain your giving even if you cannot be here at Mass. This also helps the parish streamline our cash flow, especially during bad weather or vacation times.
We offer you the ability to set up recurring or one-time basis Church donations using your credit card or automatic withdrawal from your bank account (ACH). The process is completely handled by you, the donator. By accessing the secure Website, you create a log-on and set up or modify your payment schedule or even to make a one-time donation.
Once you set up your account, you can make changes whenever you want; no phone calls are necessary to the parish office to change or even cancel your arrangement. Eliminate writing checks each week! One-time or recurring donations can be made through our secure online partner using direct debit from a bank account or credit cards. You can designate the fund that you wish to donate. Using our ONLINE GIVING SYSTEM you can manage your account through your PC, tablet, or phone. You can even “quick donate" via text message.
