Dear Parents,
I hope all of you were able to relax and take some quiet time away from the concerns of our world right now and embrace the Joy of Easter. May you have the Spirit of Easter always in your heart and forever rejoice in God's great love for you.
We want to share with you some important information from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) regarding COVID-19 positive cases in students and physical activity.
According to the AAP, students who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past six months should obtain medical clearance from their pediatricians prior to returning to physical activity, at school or elsewhere.
If you have additional questions, please contact your child's primary care doctor.
Thank you to all the families who have turned in their Walkathon letters for mailing. Over 500 letters have been mailed out. We are getting close to reaching our goal of $20,000. So far, $12,000 have been received. The money will be used to update technology throughout the campus.
Walkathon t-shirts will be distributed today! Students may wear their t-shirts with uniform on Tuesday, April 20th and of course on Friday, 4/23 for our Walkathon.
Next Friday, all of us on campus will be walking at different times around the track, while listening to music and having some playtime. I encourage all the Distance Learners that day to find time in the morning to do your walk with your family. I know that this is not exactly what we are used to for this great day, but at least we can get out in the fresh air and enjoy the day. As a reminder, this event is for the students only, as we are still restricting parents on campus.
Earth Day is next Thursday, April 22nd, and every grade will be doing something to celebrate! As an Academy, we will be planting an olive tree down in the garden area. Two years ago, we planted a Western Redbud tree. It is in full bloom now and so beautiful!
