Woodland Student Personal Property Pick-up &
Book Drop-off
Woodland Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe during this unprecedented time. I am proud of the hard work put in by our students, teachers, and parents during this school closure for on-site learning. As the school year is winding down, we will be completing some year-end procedures while following safety guidelines from the CDC.
Pick-up of Student Belongings and Return of School Property Plan
(Tuesday, May 26th, Wednesday, May 27th):
Procedures:
Pick-up Times for Parents will be alphabetically based on the student's last name
Tuesday, May 26th

Student Medication Pick-up
Nurse Scott will be on campus during pick-up times Tuesday and Wednesday for parents to pick up student medication along with their belongings.
Grade Report Card Update-7th Grade ONLY
7th graders enrolled in nine week electives during the fourth quarter will see a "CR" on their report cards for these courses only. "CR" stands for "credit." Students will receive credit for their participation in these courses during the fourth quarter.

- Any money left on lunch accounts will be rolled over to next school year.
- At this time every school activity has been canceled or postponed, including tryouts. We will let you know when those things have been rescheduled.

Congrats to Woodland's Teacher of the Year Ms. Terri Speer!
We are excited to announce that Woodland's Teacher of the Year is Ms. Terri Speer. Ms. Speer has spent 39 years serving our students. She has been a relentless support system for both our staff and our students. Ms. Speer is super organized, a great listener, and a lifelong learner. She is a great team player and goes above and beyond for finding answers for our staff and students. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

Woodland Students Qualify for Duke TIP Recognition
Twenty four seventh-grade students from Fayetteville Public Schools have qualified for recognition in the 2020 Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP).
Duke TIP has postponed all recognition ceremonies scheduled for the spring of 2020 due to the situation surrounding COVID-19. Qualifying students will receive invitations to ceremonies next May in 2021.
Eva Cummings, Sophia Dellacroce, and Alora Eary
qualified for
both state and grand recognition
and will be invited to attend the national recognition ceremony in May 2021 at Duke University.
They represent five percent of all Arkansas students who qualified for grand recognition.

To aid families in accessing online AMI work, FPS campuses have increased the range of the Wi-Fi to extend into parking lots and nearby outdoor areas. If you utilize this Wi-Fi, please remain in your vehicle to keep everyone safe.
