YOU Make Our Days Merry and Bright
Giving Tuesday Gave More than Just Money

147 People Showed Up
76,644 Movements Performed
$34,524 Raised for People in Recovery

Giving Tuesday made us grateful for everyone who participated and for everyone who donated from afar.
Giving Tuesday showed us the power of community, and the impact we can have when we team up together for a cause.
Giving Tuesday affirmed the important work that FTR does it has given us new energy to enter 2020.
Giving Tuesday gave us a generous amount of money, but above all, it gave us Hope, Connection, and Gratitude.
FITNESS
Member Highlight: Carly Ziegler
Carly is one of the hardest workers in the gym. She is always willing to push herself, and is an amazing example of a person in recovery!
She is kind, insightful and intense and we are so lucky we get to spend time with her in the gym

Carly appreciates Frank's coaching, noting her one of her favorite Frank quotes, "it doesn't matter how you feel about them [zercher squats], as long as you're open to what they will teach you."
Join our Sunday Powerlifting Class at 9AM
Over the past month, we have practiced proper technique for the back squat, deadlift, bench press, and overhead press. Moving forward we will start the actual training on these movements.

We will also be practicing accessory lifts that will help address specific issues with each of the main lifts.

Training for increased strength is a great way to build discipline, humility, self-confidence and most importantly community.

All are welcome!
NUTRITION/Food to Recover
FTR Friendsgiving was a HIT!

Member Highlight: Chris Henry

Chris is a Professional chef and FTR member, who we can always count on Chris to support our food endeavors! Chris provided all the equipment to serve the Friendsgiving dishes and helped Rose and team prep all the delicious food! Thank you, Chris, we could not have done it without you!
Staff Highlight: Our amazing dietitian, Rose, had a busy month, providing nourishment for both the Friendsgiving and Giving Tuesday events. She led a wonderful team of volunteers and always kept that bright smile on her face.
Rose is always willing and jumps right with the biggest smile on her face. Every Tuesday night you will catch Rose with a full kitchen of people at CMP. She’s developing new relationships with treatment centers and took on big projects like our Thanksgiving celebration and provided our community with energizing snacks throughout the day on GT. FTR is grateful Rose is part of the team and we are proud of the amazing job she is doing with our nutrition pillar.

This month, our Creative Expression pillar had the opportunity to perform at a Soap2Hope event. Soap2Hope is a nonprofit that provides services to men and women experiencing some of their darkest times. Their recent fundraiser gave many people in recovery a chance to share their voices. FTR’s music group wrote and performed at this fundraiser to share their experience and strength.
