Family COVID Update
6.15.2020
Dear Residents & Families,

Thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding as we work to keep our staff and your loved ones as safe as possible.

COVID-19 TESTING
As of today, we have no positive or suspected cases of COVID-19 in our Bainbridge Senior Living communities.

We are actively monitoring for symptoms or circumstances which match those related to COVID-19. Move-ins are being welcomed with safety protocols in place, including quarantine. We are accepting no in-person visits at this time.

COMMUNITY UPDATE
In a statement over the weekend, the Washington State Department of Health said that some counties in Eastern Washington are now “in a comparable position to King County at its peak in March." If coronavirus infections continue to spread at current levels there, officials are concerned that deaths could "increase substantially." A state situation report  speculates that the increase in infections could be a result of transmission over Memorial Day weekend but likely “not increases that may have occurred from protests."

Kitsap County remains in Phase 2 of Washington State’s Safe Start plan . As we look ahead to Phase 3, Bainbridge Senior Living will continue to operate on guidance from federal & state directives, the CDC, our local health departments, as well as the direction of state licensing agencies. Our internal COVID Response Team expects we’ll be able to introduce outdoor patio visits under controlled circumstances as we enter Phase 3. Please note, our internal reopening phases will not be associated with calendar dates and may be introduced differently across our communities.
Later this week, Bainbridge Senior Living plans to begin implementation of a recent order from the Secretary of Health which requires assisted living facilities with memory care units to offer free COVID-19 tests to all consenting (i.e. through their healthcare POA) memory care residents and staff by June 26 th . There will be a Zoom Q&A to discuss details. That Zoom call is currently scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 th at 11:30 a.m. PST.

With Gratitude,
Morgan Rohrbach
President and CEO
