Advertising Reaches Audiences in MA & VT
Must Be the Milk is sponsoring seven "This Place in History" segments during June on FOX 44/ABC 22 in Vermont. Each three-minute segment features the history of a dairy farm in Vermont. Watch the first segment on Monument Farms. Myth-busting ads are also airing and are voiced by Vermont dairy farmer, Kati Lawyer Hale.

In Boston, Must Be the Milk is sponsoring a TV, digital, and social media campaign in June about cow care with FOX Boston 25. A three-minute  segment will feature Great Brook Farm in Carlisle, MA. Other ads feature VT farms that use modern technology. People will visit the Must Be the Milk  FAQ page to learn more.
"Honest Moos" Promotes Truth About Dairy

We  know the public is unsure of what's fact and what's fiction when it comes to  dairy. In April, Must Be the Milk sponsored a dairy trivia contest called "Honest Moos" with advertising on  Boston's Kiss 108 ra dio, website and Facebook. View the Honest Moos Videos.

On Facebook people answered questions about cow care, environmental stewardship, and the nutrition of milk to enter to win a 2-night stay at Liberty Hill Farm in Vermont or a n Undeniably Dairy prize pack.  The advertising reached 500,000 and drove people to learn more on the Must Be the Milk  FAQ page .

Fuel Up to Play 60 Celebration at Gillette
Spring Farm Tours Improve Public Perceptions
In May, Fuel Up to Play 60 participants throughout New England received the star treatment at Gillette Stadium, to celebrate their school wellness successes! 90 students in grades 4th-12th participated in three interactive breakout sessions focused on team building, physical activity, and healthy eating with dairy.  Students met with inspiring leaders, including New England Patriots player Nate Ebner; and dairy farmers Jonathan Hermonot (CT), Jimmy Hunt (MA), and John and Karyn Luther (NH).  Learn More on Our Blog.
Spring has been busy with farm tours! So far this year, we've taken over 300 people to local dairy farms including students from elementary to college level, school nutrition directors, dietitians and interns.

Our farm tour survey from these tours shows that after people visited a dairy farm their overall impression of dairy farming improved.

Helpful resources for farm tours from a farm tour workshop we recently co-facilitated can be found here.
Farmers Share Truth About Lake Carmi Pollution
7 Reasons to Choose Cow's Milk over Plant-Based Alternatives
A small group of dairy farmers from Northern Vermont have been taking the blame for run-off that's feeding the blue green algae in Lake Carmi.

In April, farmers shared the positive environmental impact they've had with new data from UVM Extension, and assistance from New England Dairy Promotion Board.
The dairy case used to be so simple: whole, 2%, 1%, skim and lactose-free milk.  Now there's all that, plus almond, rice, soy, coconut and more.

Share our blog post about why cow's milk is the best choice.
In The News
We contact local news outlets with story ideas about the great things dairy farmers are doing. Here are some of the stories we've worked on recently. If you have an idea for a story or would like to write a letter to the editor, email Rene Thibault.
