Parents and Guardians,
Ready or not, summer is almost here! It's hard to believe we have less than one week of school to go! Even with all of the changes and challenges that came with the last few months, I hope your student will look back fondly on some special and meaningful moments from the school year. I also hope that you and your student enjoy the upcoming summer.
Even though our building is closed, there are several things still going on over the next two weeks. Please read carefully below for information about textbook drop-off, Yearbook pick-up, and class award programs. There is also detailed information about our Graduation and Parade celebrations on May 30th.
Lastly, LHS staff will not be working as they observe Memorial Day next Monday, May 25th We hope you enjoy the day with your student.
Sincerely,
Chris Mayfield
Principal

Adopt a Senior - Senior Project
Ella Brumley has many senior friends and wanted to find a way to support them as they deal with the disappointment of missing out on some important milestones. As Varsity Spirit Cheer Captain this year she got to see first hand the exciting growth in community and school spirit. What better way to keep that momentum going than to adopt a senior and help them celebrate.
We would like the support of the entire Lovejoy community! Just follow this
link
or go to Facebook and search for Adopt a 2020 Lovejoy Senior. Ask to join, and you will be added shortly. Once you are in, read ALL the rules and then add your post or adopt a senior. Once you have adopted a senior, it is up to you to bless them with goodies, send them some mail, bring them their favorite drinks, just show them some love! All the information is on the page about sharing information, and even a list the seniors can fill out to share with their adoptees.
If you are not on Facebook, but would still like to participate or if you have any questions please contact Ella, by email at
Brumley_ella@loveloyisd.com
