Financial Incentive for Serving First Responders & Health Care Workers
The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County is providing funding to child care providers who are open and serving children of first responders and healthcare workers . This program is made possible with funds allocated by the Florida Department of Education as part of the CARES Act to help support our first responders and healthcare personnel.

In addition to the regular School Readiness rate, participating child care providers will receive a $500 bonus per child with a maximum monthly bonus of $4,000 and a maximum $12,000 bonus for the 90-day duration of the program.

Here is how eligibility for the program works:

  • Child care for 90 days
  • No income requirement
  • Children must be under 13 years of age
  • Children are United States citizens or legal residents
  • At least one parent is a first responder or healthcare worker
  • The Child Care Application & Authorization form must be approved by the employer and the Early Learning Coalition
  • Attendance at a participating Early Learning Coalition child care provider

ELCPBC Supports Essential Workers with Child Care Scholarships
Thanks to local support from Children's Services Council and a private donation, we are still able to provide child care scholarships to Palm Beach County's Essential Workers. These scholarships are redeemable at contracted School Readiness Providers.

While there is not a bonus program for providers for this specific scholarship, the goal is still the same: to mutually help parents and providers during this uncertain time. Serving children of essential workers, like grocery store workers, food supply employees, and many other "essential" workers is a community service, and we encourage our school readiness providers to share this with their parents.

Families can obtain an application on our website and call our Family Resource Line: 561.514.3300.

Completed applications should be returned to  http://fss.elcpalmbeach.org.

Please encourage your parents to call us at 561.514.3300 to inquire and see if they are eligible. Time is running out to apply for this incredible program.
