.....The Broadmeadow Neighborhood Association invites you to celebrate Halloween at the pavilion across from Broadmeadow United Methodist Church on Saturday.

.....Your Broadmeadow neighbors are bringing out a 140" outdoor inflatable movie screen to show two movies starting at 6:30 p.m.: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (25 minutes) and The Goonies (94 minutes).

.....Bring a blanket and find your socially-distanced spot.

.....Costume parade at 6 p.m.

.....Limited concessions will be available for purchase.

.....Masks required for all ages.

.....Join the Jackson Ruckers for their first annual Pumpkin Ruck on Saturday. (What is a ruck? Walking with a weighted backpack.)

.....Meet at The Bean, grab a cup of coffee around 8:30 a.m. The Ruck will head out a little after 9 a.m. for an hour walk. Rucking in a Halloween costume gains you a chance to win a door prize for best costume.

.....At the half-way point, the group will visit their own little pumpkin patch where each participant will pick up their own pumpkin.

....."There's no size requirement on which pumpkin you leave with but the bigger the pumpkin, the cooler you are and the more challenging the ruck back to The Bean will be," said organizer Robert Lewis of CrossFit Fondren.

.....To make things a bit more interesting, take the pumpkin home with you and carve your best design. Check in to CrossFit Fondren and tag Pumpkin Ruck with a picture of your pumpkin by 6 p.m. for a door prize provided by sponsors: Fondren CrossFit, The Bean, and Buffalo Peak Outfitters. (Adcox Fresh Fruit and Vegetables is providing the pumpkins.)

.....The Archive is an initiative developed by art and architecture librarians at Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale Universities, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Universities of Chicago and Pennsylvania.
