Phases II and III need YOUR support

Give NOW and expand beautification
Autumn leaves and pumpkins please - Magnolia Village celebrate the fall season with new banners

October has been a banner month as implementation of Phase I of the Reimagine Magnolia Village project continues to bring joy to the neighborhood. With many thanks to our donors, McGraw Street between 32nd and 33rd Avenues is all dressed up with stylish autumnal banners hanging from the decorative poles that held flowering baskets over the summer months.

The new banners support the vibrant activity that is occurring in Magnolia Village and create a beautiful way to enjoy the fall season. Festive banners help shoppers and visitors soak up the charm of Magnolia Village while capturing the attention of drivers and pedestrians alike.

Many thanks to Cheryl McQuiston, Joan Enticknap, Will Bailey, and Don Gillmore for donating their time and talents to installing the banners for all of us to enjoy.

If you like what you see, please donate NOW to the Reimagine Magnolia Village project. Together, we can expand the streetscape improvements up McGraw from 33rd to 35th Avenues. We are fundraising right now for Phases II and III

If you have already donated to Phase I, please donate again for Phases II and III. Share the opportunity to give with your neighbors and friends – many don’t know about how Reimagine Magnolia Village is funded and how they can be a part of the process. Join us in bringing more color, comfort, and fun through streetscape improvements that welcome visitors and promote our local Magnolia businesses.
The Clean Up Crew – keeping Magnolia Village looking mah-velous

Reimagine Magnolia Village project is very lucky to have the skills and dedication of a group of volunteers who help keep the Village looking all spruced up and ready for shoppers and visitors.

Kudos to Bill Whitham, Martin Powers, Gary Podrabsky, Joe Michaels, John Maynard, Bob Culley, Jason Hill, and Mike Olden who meet on an “as needed” basis to sweep, rake leaves, do weeding, and other similar tasks that help keep the new streetscape improvements looking sharp and the sidewalks fresh and welcoming. We’re always looking for more volunteers to help not only with keeping our Village ready for shoppers, but other tasks as well.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to the Reimagine Magnolia Village project, please contact Cheryl McQuiston at 206-390-8698 or cheryl.aaml@gmail.com. And, a big thank you to, and deep appreciation for our clean-up crew: You make a real difference and keep Magnolia Village looking great!
Enjoying Magnolia Village – share your story and photos!

Our intrepid supporters have shared some great photos with us. The common themes are photographic examples of how the Reimagine Magnolia Village project creates a great community space for folks to gather safely and enjoy local merchants’ fares and wares. This month we celebrate a group of Saturday morning regulars at Magnolia Fitness. After working on their martial art skills, they enjoy grabbing a cup of Joe to go along with conversation made easy by the new Phase I bistro tables, chairs and refurbished benches.

It is exciting to know that with donor support, we can expand the same seating and convivial atmosphere up McGraw, from 33rd Avenue to 35th Avenue. Donate today and make Phases II and III a reality.

Please share your photos of how you, your friends and family enjoy the Reimagine Magnolia Village project. With your permission, we’ll share your story and celebrate the sense of community the beautification project creates. Contact Cheryl McQuiston at 206-390-8698 or cheryl.aaml@gmail.com to submit your fave photo and story on how you and/or others are enjoying Magnolia Village.
