As everyone knows,
we only get one chance to make a first impression. As such, after encountering a few snags during the publishing process, we hit the pause button for three weeks and focused on making sure that
OUTCRY
was as perfect as it could possibly be before most people would see the book for the first time.
We are now ready to make that
first impression.
Why is Outcry special? We know of no other book that
leverages "big picture"
environmental data and scientific conclusions to
make the case for the necessity of re-inventing the way we live on this planet. Further, Outcry provides a realistic vision of how an attractive, fully-sustainable
successor civilization might actually look.

To be clear, we are not so naïve
as to think that our envisioned civilization of the future will actually become a reality as we have described it. We just know that our current way of living will lead to our ultimate demise if we don't get serious about replacing it in the near future.
Why is there no conversation? By definition, actively addressing the less-than-rosy prospects for our longterm survival is the most crucial action needed in the history of humanity. To be sure, the entire world should be talking non-stop about this topic - but I know of very few people who are.

Outcry was written for people of all ages and education levels: from high-schoolers on up. As for the young folks, it features one chapter about the world's most famous teenager. It is entitled

The Bottom Line.
The ever-escalating
outcries
from nature reinforce the fact that we are running out of time to get any serious traction when it comes to slowing climate change enough to save ourselves. As such, we must urgently begin planning, designing, building and populating a completely new,
successor
civilization.
But there's a one big problem that we must overcome - the mistaken belief that we can put humanity back on a truly sustainable path without radically changing our overall way living.
Michael Moore's recent movie, Planet of the Humans, revealed this grim fact from a sustainability standpoint; saying "Despite our best intentions, what we're doing now is simply not working." The controversial film does a great job of demonstrating that simply changing from fossil fuels to renewables will not get the job done.
Moore and his team explain on
Rising
in
this 17-minute video
that we must change our entire way of life, but they offer no clues as to how that new way of life might look - or how we're going to get there.
Our book picks up where Moore's film leaves off. We are striving to help spark the global conversation about how we might totally replace our harmful and wasteful way of living with one that is far greener, and infinitely more sustainable - than the never-ending growth model (in a finite world) that defines how we are living today.
