May 2021 -- A Stable Faith

Given the danger, isolation and despair we have all experienced over the course of this past year, it is reasonable to wonder when friends and groups will again be able to gather without fear of contagion. Read the rest of this message.

A Message From the Board
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Stewardship campaign, and to all who have pledged! If you have not pledged yet, you still can, by filling out the online pledge form. Or email the treasurer with your pledge amount for next year. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact Marti Kennedy, Dona Eaton, or Jamie Ferrier, Church Administrator. Any and every pledge, no matter the amount, will be gratefully received!

The Board and Finance Committee are preparing the budget for next year. Please keep reading your Weekly and Monthly Newsletters for information on Virtual Budget Information Sessions, to be held in the coming weeks. The newsletters also list other virtual opportunities to keep our connections strong, so be sure to stay up to date!

The Annual Meeting will once again be virtual. Details will follow as we complete the planning process. Thank you for your patience.

Blessed Be,
Marti Kennedy, Board President
Finance Committee News
Important Message - Please keep sending in your pledges if you are financially able.
Even though our income is less than expected due to fewer rentals and no Auction this year, our expenses are also less than expected. And we received a loan of $29,200 in the 2nd wave of the Payroll Protection Plan (PPP). We took the full amount of standard withdrawal from the Endowment, but due to excess monies from last year and both first wave and second wave of PPP money, we do not anticipate taking any more money from the endowment as part of our 6-Year Plan. This plan had $108,000 available to the operating budget. We took about $27,000 the first year, so $81,000 remains.

Finance Committee Happenings
  • Deep into budgeting for next year.
  • Received second wave of PPP money (not accounted for in above numbers).
