Camp Sancta Maria's mission is to let God meet the deepest needs of today's youth by forming and transforming young lives in a beautiful northern Michigan setting. To provide young people a technology-free, safe, and faith-filled natural atmosphere packed with fun, where new outdoor experiences and activities enable campers to create healthy relationships and grow spiritually, personally, and communally.

Dear Friends and Family of Camp Sancta Maria,
|
|
Welcome to our February 2021 newsletter! As the warmer temps melt the snow, our thoughts turn to the beautifully forested grounds of CSM's 96 acres, providing an excellent environment for recreation and relaxation.
While we are blessed to occupy some of Michigan’s most wonderfully wooded landscape, the best part of being at CSM is seeing the smiling faces of all the children and grandchildren who visit us each summer. We cannot wait to see our returning families once again and welcome new families to Camp Sancta Maria!
Here are some highlights from this month's newsletter:
-
Exciting New Program Coming to CSM: Our 2021 campers will be the first to try out our new exciting program! Read more in our We're Taking Aim at an Exciting New Program at CSM article.
-
Registration Update: Don't miss out! One session is sold out, and other sessions are near capacity. See our 2021 Registration article for details.
-
Golf Outing Save the Date: Mark your calendars for our 2021 Golf Outing! Read more in our 2021 Golf Outing article.
And remember to save the date for our 2021 Benefit Dinner! We look forward to seeing you at Petruzzello's in Troy on Thursday, June 3! It's a great opportunity to break bread and share the evening with fellow CSM alumni and supporters.

Thank you again, stay safe, and God bless you.

Get Ready for More Action-Packed Programs at CSM!
|
|
We recently announced the cancellation of our day trip to Mackinac Island due to COVID-19 restrictions. While we hope to resume those visits in future years, we're looking at the bright side--it's given us an opportunity to explore some new action-packed programs for our campers right on the grounds of CSM.
Enter archery tag!
What is archery tag? Archery tag combines elements of dodgeball or other challenge-type games with the timeless skills of archery. Players take aim at each other with non-lethal soft foam-tipped arrows to score points or eliminate opposing team members. Our campers will enjoy the adventure and adrenaline rush, while moms and dads will appreciate the family-friendly nature of this unique sport.
Is it safe? You bet! With a stellar safety record since its inception in 2011, the Archery Tag® brand pioneered the exhilarating sport of extreme archery, while maintaining a focus on innovative product development and preserving the highest levels of safety. The gameplay is intense yet safe for participants.
How can our alumni and supporters join in the fun? Let's face it: a round of archery tag sounds exhilarating for all ages, right? It's true, but our new archery tag program is for the kiddos. However, you can join in the fun vicariously by helping us purchase the best quality equipment. Together we can build the safest equipment and most thrilling archery tag program possible for our children and grandchildren.

We Are Grateful for Your Prayers
and Your Financial Support

CSM is held in a trust governed by an independent Board of Trustees. While the Archdiocese of Detroit had generously donated the services of one its priests for decades, they are not responsible for CSM financially. This means that we are responsible to secure our own funding to advance the mission that has been passed down to us since our founding in 1933. To continue this essential work, we need your help. Are you feeling called to donate? Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
