April 1, 2021
Kindergartner Thatcher Dingus has had a rough couple of years. In 2019 he was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma, and spent the last year and a half at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis with his family by his side. Now, Thatcher is back home and the students and staff at High Pointe Elementary welcomed him with open arms 😂 .

Way to go Thatcher 💪!

Artist of the Week - Susan Hardy
The Artist of the Week is senior theatre student Susan Hardy. Susan Hardy has been a part of the Nixa Theatre Department since her freshman year. Over the past four years, she has had the opportunity to perform in six shows.

“I’ve been able to unlock a part of me in theatre that I could not unlock in any other way. Theatre has given me the opportunity to grow as an actor and a person with each show I’ve been in. I’m glad I’ve been able to work with such talented people, and I’m so grateful to Mrs. Fleetwood and Mr. Glenn for giving me the chance to be a part of something great.” -Susan Hardy

“I have seen Susan grow during the past four years into a leader in the classroom and on the stage. Susan dives head first into any performance opportunity, and she pushes others around her to be better. Susan’s future's so bright, and I can’t wait to see the impact she has on the world.” -Allison Fleetwood
