Dear SMCS Families,

Thank you for your continued support during this unprecedented time that we are living in.

Earlier today you received the notification letter that we have had a lab-confirmed COVID-19 case on campus. Please make sure you read the letter carefully.  As a reminder, if someone in your house is being tested for COVID-19, please do not send your student(s) to school until you contact Nurse Diaz. Our safety protocols continue to be of the utmost importance especially since we now have a confirmed COVID-19 case in our community. If you have any questions at any time, please do hesitate to contact Nurse Diaz.

This week we launched our Anchored in Faith, 2020-2021, Annual Fund. Special thanks to our Annual Fund Chair Couple, Casey and Skip Redd, and our Angelus Society Chair Couple, Laura and Kevin Filippone. More information about the Annual Fund is below.

Please don't forget to buy your Take-A-Chance tickets. Pictures of some of the baskets are below.

Have a safe weekend!

Blessings,
Dr. Kathleen Cox

St. Michael Catholic School Annual Fund
FAQ Zoom Meetings

The Annual Fund is a symbol of our commitment to the Mission of St. Michael Catholic School.

This year's theme, Anchored in Faith, reminds us that our Catholic Faith is central and at the core of the St. Michael experience. We look forward to celebrating your support and encouraging strong community participation during our Week of Giving Celebration to be held during Catholic Schools Week, January 31-February 5, 2021.

This year we are offering the opportunity for families to learn more about how Annual Fund gifts directly impact our students, hear from this year's chairs Casey and Skip Redd, and ask questions about the importance of the fund. A FAQ Zoom will be held on October 20, 10 AM.  Please sign up for the zoom meeting by visiting the attached link.  The Zoom address is available in the sign-up genius link.  We hope you will be able to attend!

To learn more about the Annual Fund or to make a gift, please visit the Annual Fund Website. St. Michael Catholic School certainly appreciates that we are living in uncertain times and understands that a philanthropic gift may carry a different weight to our families this year. Through your generosity, Annual Fund gifts provide the opportunity for our community to continue keeping our Catholic Faith central to our children's formation. Annual Fund questions may be directed to Director of Development Laura Dols, at [email protected].

Special thanks to our Annual Fund Chair Couple, Casey and Skip Redd, and to our Angelus Society Chair Couple, Laura and Kevin Fillipone.

Tiger Track
Give Back

Covid-19 has made this year difficult in so many ways and has highlighted a need to help others while remaining socially distant. We are thankful for our SMCS families and while this year we are unable to celebrate together in fellowship as traditionally done, we can still show our Tiger Pride while supporting local businesses who have supported St. Michael.
The PLUS Social Committee has organized Tiger Track to Give Back as our way of giving back to our community while staying safe.

Students will receive a Tiger Track Give Back flyer in their Wednesday Folder next week. On the flyer, you will find SMCS-family owned businesses as well as businesses who have historically generously supported St. Michael in various ways. As you consider your shopping needs, or when deciding on a local restaurant for dine-in or take out, we invite you to visit the businesses on our Tiger Track as St. Michael's way of saying thank you!

Families who shop 5 or more of these businesses will earn a free dress pass for your students. At checkout, ask for a signature on your Tiger Track. Please turn in the flyer to your homeroom teacher by Wednesday, December 2nd. Flyers are applicable to the entire family. We hope you will join us and help thank these local businesses for supporting SMCS while showing our Tiger Pride!
