Today is our last page...the letter Z!

Remember to bind all your pages in a notebook 3 hold punch, or gather with a folder or rings for a souvenir of our time together.

Tikkun Olam- our Jewish values help us remember to rebuild or fix the world. Let's spend some time this summer helping by making a mitzvah or two.

Do not litter:  Have our child bury some potato peels, a tuna can, a bottle, a plastic bag, other vegetable scraps or fruit skins in the yard and put a labeled popsicle stick
by each item buried.  In a fe weeks see what happened to them.  Talk about the big word:  biodegradable, along with recycling and littering.

Feeding the Hungry: Remember the story of Ruth which we talked about during Shavuot. It's hard for our children to believe that there are people who in today's world are still hungry.
Visit the Food pantry to donate canned goods or ask for their wish list and order and send  needed items like rice and beans through Amazon

Caring for the elderly: get the birthdays of senior members of Bet Torah and have your child make and mail a birthday card.  Or get names from a nursing home nearby and ask if you can
send pictures, letters or cards to the residents. My mother's former roommate at United Hebrew loves to get pictures of my granddaughter. It brightens her day.

A Story can lead to a mitzvah:  from your children's favorite storybooks, share and identify a mitzvah illustrated in the book.
