FRAMEWORK FOR RECOVERY
On June 3rd,  The City of St. Catharines released its Framework for Recovery. 

The Recovery Plan outlines the strategic efforts to reintroduce services; reopen facilities; and support both residents and businesses as we adapt to a new post-COVID-19 'norm'.

The city is mapping a path forward towards recovery with:
- Four strategic stages
- Economic Development and Tourism plans
- Facilities and Amenities plans

2020 SCCIP PROGRAMS
 
St. Catharines Arts & Culture Community Revitalization Program  - Deadlines and details will be released in July. In 2020 this program will replace the Culture Builds Community and Arts Development Programs. Make sure you subscribe to the Cultural funding newsletter to get notified of details as they become available. Visit www.stcatharines.ca/subscribe and select "Cultural Funding".
 
Deadlines for the following programs have closed: Culture Days Activity Program, and Core Program (Sustaining, Midsized and Festivals)

Suitcase In Point Theatre Company Opens Applications for Nest Residency 
Launched in 2019, The Nest Residency offers new generation theatre artists in the Niagara Region a creative home for 12 months to gain exposure, training, and hands on experience. Artists are mentored and supported to build and develop new work, learning how to hone their creative process, the power of collaboration and what it takes to develop work within the Niagara market.

Audio Recordings max. 4 minutes in the form of a song, poem, anecdote or story, piece of music, spoken word, or stream of consciousness thoughts etc.

Call for Artists and Performances
Presented by the Niagara Folk Arts Festival
Seeking artists from all formats: music, dance, DJs, visual arts, dramatic readings, theater presentations and more. Presentations do not need to be cultural in nature and could be presented in other languages. Performances must be family-friendly and able to be presented on a residential front lawn, sidewalk or boulevard. The performances will be live streamed. Artist bursaries to be negotiated.

Featuring numerous Black & Indigenous queer musicians, poets, and artists from the local St. Catharines/Niagara community and wider Ontario area, this concert seeks to put a spotlight on Black and Indigenous queer performers while also raising funds for various social organizations and anti-racism causes through raffle ticket sales.
Presented by Brock University Human Rights & Equity with various community partners.
