Dear Monroe County Schools Students, Staff, and Families:
Governor Brian Kemp issued an executive order earlier today closing all public schools in Georgia through Friday, April 24, 2020. For now, we will look forward to seeing students again on Monday, April 27, 2020. Governor Kemp will make decisions on school closing extensions and plans for the remainder of the school year at a later date.
We will continue to provide instruction through our Alternative Learning Days platform through Friday, April 24, 2020. Our school system will continue to provide meals to students throughout this time.
However, we will pause Alternative Learning Days and meal distribution during the week of spring break (April 6-10)
. Thanks again for being understanding, supportive, and flexible during this most uncertain time. We will continue to work with all citizens to help overcome COVID-19. At any time, if you have questions or concerns, please contact your child's school or central office.
We all are hopeful this pandemic will be over soon so we can get back to what we all love to do. Our staff is ready to resume our school experiences with our students. We miss them.

All Georgia High School Association events have been suspended for now through April 24, 2020. Stay tuned for updates from GHSA.

All Monroe County Middle School athletic activities have also been suspended through April 24, 2020.

All field trips, competitions, club activities through April 24, 2020 will be cancelled.

Boys and Girls Club of Monroe County will be closed through April 24, 2020.

Grab-and-Go meals will be prepared and distributed curbside from the back of Hubbard Elementary School from 11 AM to 1 PM on Mondays (2-day meals) and Wednesdays (3-day meals). Any changes to this schedule will be announced through normal messaging and social media avenues. Stay tuned for updates and more information.
