Three scenarios being considered for school this fall
The number one question on the minds of our families is what fall will look like for our students.  Since before school got out, ECCS leadership has been meeting to plan for three different scenarios: in-person, distance learning, and a hybrid model that combines both.  Last week, the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) released guidance to all schools to help them prepare for the 2020-21 school year.  Read more HERE.
Nate Gibbs named Chaska Middle School West principal
Nate Gibbs has been named the next principal of
Chaska Middle School West. Gibbs will start his role in early July, and follows Sheryl Hough who announced her retirement earlier this year.
Gibbs has almost a decade of diverse experiences in education, serving most recently as Assistant Principal at Minnetonka High School.  Read full news HERE.
A message from the School Board
The end of the school year is always a time for celebration.  It's a time to acknowledge the growth of students, academically and emotionally, mark transitions, and greet the coming of summer.  This year, those celebrations looked and felt very different. With the outbreak of COVID-19, our students left school a few days shy of Spring Break and never returned to their buildings. They learned from - and connected with - their teachers and their friends - via screens.  They said goodbye virtually, or from the edge of their driveways, waving as a parade of teachers drove past.  The global health crisis wasn't the only challenge faced by our district this year.  Read more HERE.
