Summer Kick-Off
Jun 1 – 20
All ages. Kick-off your summer with our Tails & Tales Summer Program! Pick up a family summer kick-off kit at DTDL from June 1-20. Each kit includes a line-up of our summer programs, information about our summer reading challenge, a Play & Learn Park Passport, sidewalk chalk, and other goodies. Use the chalk to help us decorate the path around the library! Visit

Summer Reading Challenge
Jun 1 – Aug 21
All ages. Join our online reading program this summer with Beanstack. All ages can participate, from babies to adults. Earn prizes and enter drawings by reading and completing activities all summer long. Head to dtdl.beanstack.org to get started. An offline reading log will also be available to print or pick up from the library. Visit
Play & Learn Park Passport
Jun 1 – Aug 21
All ages. Get to know Delta Township’s parks this summer while enjoying the great outdoors and engaging in fun learning activities. Pick up a Play & Learn Park Passport from DTDL or download one from
dtdl.org/summer. Check off the parks as you visit them and complete the activities to earn an outdoor family fun pack!
Take It & Make It
All ages. DTDL offers free monthly Take It & Make It kits for kids and adults, with activities appropriate for different ages and skill levels (5 & under, 5-8, 9-18, and 18+). Each kit contains instructions and supplies for one or more projects. Visit
dtdl.org/make-it to request your kit(s). The library also has free kits with art supplies and storytime materials.
Grab and Go Meal Kits
Jun 18 – Aug 27
This summer, DTDL is teaming up with the Greater Lansing Food Bank to offer supplemental meal kits for youth up to 18 years old. The bags of non-perishable food will be available for drive-through pick up every Friday from June 18-August 27 (no pick-up July 2) from 1–3 p.m.
