Clean water for God's thirsty children

We are not powerless...

In a time of uncertainty, and even fear, we may feel powerless. Events overwhelm us; the news worries us; trying to reach out to one another seems really difficult.

But none of that is true.

As God’s children, we are never alone. The scriptures tell us that God will not leave us orphaned, that God’s love is eternal and overwhelming.

We have the power, each one of us. The Power of One is enormous. Each of us has the Power to pray, to encourage, to help, to love. And God is always right there with us, reinforcing and making greater each effort that we make.

The Power of One...
Sr. Larraine provides an update on the latest news from Water With Blessings. She also reflects on the Power of One, and how that Power can be doubled because of a matching gift opportunity. Please take a moment to watch.
Water With Blessings is all about the Power of One.

One donor provides the funding for one Water Woman to receive training, one Sawyer PointONE filter and one five-gallon bucket . That results in 4 families drinking clean water, cooking with clean water, and living free of the fear of water-borne disease, which can create vulnerability to other disease such as COVID-19.

With our Sustaining Donors program, $12.50 per month doubles that Power , underwriting the training and equipment for 2 Water Women . Please consider becoming a Sustainer right now.
Double Your Donation on Kentucky Gives Day

From May 5 through May 12, you can participate in a special giving opportunity. An anonymous foundation and an individual benefactor have committed to matching the gifts that come in through the above link. Please click above to find out more, and thank you for your generosity!
The measure you give...
In a beautiful passage in the Gospels, Jesus tells us:

“give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

In other words, God will not be outdone in generosity to us and to those we serve.

So let us all take the gifts we have, the Power of One, and share them with those around us. And please remember another passage later in the Gospels, where we are told that “I was thirsty, and you gave me drink…”

 Please remember God’s
thirsty children.
