The Church Office Tabitha will be in the church office on a limited basis. Please email her at tabithas@huntersvilleumc.org if you need something or to make arrangements to come into the office. If you have an urgent need, please call Tabitha at 704-488-8683.
We want to pray for you. Since we are not meeting in person, and you cannot fill out a prayer card, please call us or email us with your prayer requests. Also, indicate whether or not you would like your request to remain private or be added to our “public” prayer list.
Our Worship Arts Team worked hard to plan our Lenten decorations in the church. Though you can't see them in person, they stand to remind us that God cares for us in times of trouble.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
All of the burdens (sticks) our congregation has brought have been taken to the cross.
"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." Psalm 55:22
"Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens." Psalm 68:19
Our Lenten Diorama sits in front of a very apt verse on a wall in the church. Jeremiah 29: 11 reminds us that God has always had His plan in place. The diorama shows us his plan for our hope and future. No matter what happens, His plan is still in place.
Serving the Community
The Food Pantry is still operating during their regular hours (Monday—Thursday, 10:00 a.m.—Noon). We are happy to be able to still serve our neighbors in need. Wanda Kerns and our volunteers are doing a phenomenal job keeping things going with fewer volunteers and the new guidelines put in place by Loaves & Fishes.

Check out this VIDEO created by Rod Arters to see our dedicated volunteers in action.

URGENT NEED NOW: Our regular volunteer who does our Target pick-up needs to stay home during this pandemic. If you have a pick-up truck and an hour and a half on a Monday and/or Friday, can you help? It involves picking up items from Target, bringing them back to the church and unloading. This may require heavy lifting. If you can help and/or would like more information, please call Wanda at 704-608-3821.
Face Masks  Jodie Cox is making fabric face masks for the nurses and patients at Novant Oncology in Huntersville. She is also making some for our Food Pantry volunteers. She is in need of elastic ! Please search your sewing kits. She is looking for 1/8” elastic or round jewelry elastic. She is planning on making 100 masks. If you have elastic, you may drop it off at the Food Pantry during their regular hours (see above).
Thank YOU!
Thanks to all of you who made donations to help Natalya Stracener with her project. She was able to make 96 care packages for Olde Knox Commons!
